IPCSA Helps Improve the Indiana Job Market

According to the U.S. Labor Department, the U.S. unemployment rate held steady at 9.7 percent in February. Employment fell in construction and information, while temporary help services added jobs.

But officials say they are seeing early signs of recovery in the job market. And The Indiana Public Charter Schools Association (IPCSA) is helping in the local effort to improve the job market.

The IPCSA will host a Charter Schools Job Fair that will take place Saturday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Challenge Foundation Academy, 3980 Meadows Drive, in Indianapolis. Candidates will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

More than 20 Central Indiana charter schools will be on-hand, looking for teachers, classroom aides, administrative staff and Title I professionals. The Mayor’s Office of Charter Schools will also be looking to hire two accountability managers and one data/operations manager.

Eighty teaching positions and more than 300 part-time summer positions are available.

Applicants are asked to bring resumes, evidence of certification and contact information, along with a file to hold all applications, resumes, business cards and school literature. Business attire is required.

Make sure to mark your calendar for the Charter Schools Job Fair!
